"Out of the lunch menu, we ordered beef brisket noodle soup and fried rice. Both are tasty and big enough to feed our craving tummies."

"I ordered the crispy roast pork and roast duck rice. The meat portions were large, the quantity was generous, and it was very satisfying. The meat was juicy and the seasoning was well-absorbed into the flesh. The skin of the roast duck was very savory (gurih), although some parts weren't as crispy, perhaps because I bought it as a takeaway and everything was packed together in one sealed container. I was only visiting Melbourne for a few days, but because I really liked the taste, I got takeaway from here twice."

"Best roast pork, duck, char siu (bbq pork) in Melbourne. The beef brisket is good and so is the home made tofu."

"I never expected to find such authentic Chinese food at Melbourne, Australia. It was fresher and tastier than what I’ve had in other Southeast Asian countries. Whether it was the roasted pork, sweet and sour pork ribs, or stir-fried vegetables, the flavors were rich and aromatic without being overly heavy, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Compared to other restaurants, this restaurant was packed from the time we entered until we left, which proves just how popular this place is. If you’re in Melbourne and want to enjoy Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend it. And don’t assume that the crowded restaurant is filled only with Chinese patrons, during my visit, about half to two-thirds of the customers were Westerners enjoying their meals."

"We came to here planned but without reservation. Luckily we still got table, although the seating space too tight. The food we ordered salted egg prawn, crab ball, chinese brocolli with beef, braised pork, and roast duck half. All portion is great and mostly tasty except the crab ball. The crab ball only made from the the surimi/crab stick not real crab meat, really dissapointed. The staff here also sorry to say not too friendly, no welcome greeting or smile, no assistance when order. hope the service can improved more, put smile it doesnt hurt, more responsive and try to help/ask how’s the food to your customer. The atmosphere can be better."

"Pacific House South Yarra is our go-to spot for special occasions and it truly never disappoints. We recently came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and once again, the quality and experience were just as good as we remembered. This time we tried a few different dishes, including the beef hotpot, which was incredibly comforting and full of flavour — the soy sauce served on the side was seriously addictive. Of course, we couldn’t skip their famous roast duck: perfectly juicy meat with beautifully crispy skin, just done so well every time. Other standout dishes were the homemade tofu with crab, the salted egg yolk ribs (rich and indulgent), and the homemade netballs which were light, fluffy, and a must-order. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and consistent with the high standards Pacific House is known for. An absolute institution that has stood the test of time. We’ll always come back and happily recommend it for celebrations or a special meal."

"I used to go the pacific opposite QV but unfortunately that closed. Always come here for the roast duck and crispy roast pork. Generous portions, fast service, food always comes out steaming hot! Also discount when paid with cash. One of my go-to places in Melbourne for Cantonese roast!"

"Tasty food and serve very fast We came in at their peak hours but staff were attentive. Took order fast and food were served properly The pork was juicy and tender, not dry as it usually is in other chinese restaurants. However the skin wasn’t as crispy Peking is good on average"
